            The Grissom Air Museum, located in Peru, Indiana is now the new home  for  the  319th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. The display houses artifacts and memorabilia from the 319th, and many other units. The website can be visited at: www.grissomairmuseum.com

     

Stand nose-to-nose with 24 historic aircraft, dating from WWII to the present. In the beautiful outdoor display, see a legendary B-17 "Flying Fortress," a record-shattering B-58 "Hustler," and a tank-killing "Warthog." Climb the 5-story observation tower for a great view of the historic planes and nearby base runway. Inside the building, you can sit in Phantom jet and Huey helicopter cockpits, and see aviation equipment, armaments, uniforms, flight trainers, photos, models, survival gear, engines, original art, and war prizes. There is a theater and museum store. Open 10am-4pm Tuesday-Sunday. Closed late December to mid February and holidays. Admission $4 for adults, $3 for veterans, seniors, and students 7-18.
