Bronze Star: Major L.W. Short 1st Sgt. Shank, Captain E. W. Buckland, T/Sgt. Enwall, M/Sgt. Bluntzer, T/Sgt. Goldstein, M/Sgt. Lawson, S/Sgt. Cronin, M/Sgt/ Pearson, and Cpl. Anderson.

Distinguished Unit Citations:

30 July 1943 For action over Sardinia, using diversionary tactics, the group forced enemy aircraft into the air, and destroyed over half of them. Pilots were credited with a total of 21 victories on this mission.

30 January 1944 Group flew very low altitude (on the deck at fifty feet) up the Adriatic, over 300 miles, and surprised enemy fighters defending German airdromes, in the Villaorba/Udine area. Pilots were credited with a total of 37 victories.

KOREAN CONFLICT

Personnel of the 319th Squadron for the period 1 July 52 to 31 Dec 52 of combat operations have been awarded the following medals for aerial achievements and for outstanding individual accomplishments among ground personnel: (to view the medals click on the words in blue)

Bronze Star – 10.
